fatima lahham

Born in Oxford in 1993, Fatima Lahham is a freelance musician based in the UK. She studied at Magdalen College, Oxford University and at the Royal College of Music, and currently enjoys a freelance career as a recorder player with Improviso, who are one of Creative Europe’s Emerging European Ensembles and have recently performed at the Wigmore Hall, Brighton Early Music Festival, and live on BBC Radio 3. Alongside performing, Fatima teaches privately, at a number of schools and in the Royal College of Music’s Historical Performance faculty. Fatima is currently a PhD student at Cambridge University where she is researching the roles of rhetoric and memory in seventeenth-century improvisation practices, generously supported by a DTP AHRC studentship.
